Ray Gallagher BMus(Hons)
Instrumental and Vocal Tutor
My interest in music started when I was 8 years old learning recorder, guitar and singing in the local church choir.

Singing in the choir is the only one of the three that lasted any length of time, so perhaps it is no surprise that teaching singing is now my vocation.

Later, when I started secondary school I began lessons on piano and trumpet, then later trombone. And then, at the age of 15 I started having Organ lessons. By this stage I felt he had quite enough instruments under my belt, and have somehow managed to restrain myself from seriously pursueing any others, although I do admit to "dabbling" with a wide variety of instruments over the years! (I secretly yearn to be a drummer, if only there was space in his house for a large drum kit!)

Then followed studies in Music at the University of Hull, from where I graduated in 1996 with a 2:1 honours degree.
